The King of Meet-Cutes has met his match! Discover the hot and hilarious new stand-alone romantic comedy from USA Today bestselling author, Lila Monroe!

Seth Harding is the King of Meet-Cutes. If you get trapped in an elevator with a handsome stranger, or stranded on a moonlit cruise with the man of your dreams, chances are, it’s not fate bringing the two of you together, it’s Seth somewhere, pulling the strings.

At least, that’s what I find out, when someone hires Seth to help win my heart. It would be romantic… if he weren’t all wrong for me. And Mr Right…?

Well, he might just be the guy behind the scenes.

Suddenly, my faith in soulmates is hitting a major complication. Seth is cynical, and argumentative… and seriously irresistible. Soon, the sparks between us are impossible to ignore. But can this hopeful romantic really find love with a man who engineers happily-ever-afters for a living? And when all the tricks and tests are stripped away, what makes two people truly meant to be?

Find out in the latest laugh-out-loud read from “The reigning queen of romantic comedy”, Lila Monroe!

Seth Harding is a matchmaker.  People hire him to clear the way for them by creating a situation to connect with a person with whom they want a relationship but cannot seem to close the deal.  Seth does his research then sets up the “cut-meet.”  James, the client, met April at a wedding.  He felt an attraction, but that is as far as he got.  Seth is scoping out April, a florist, for his doctor client she touches something in him.  Well that never happens.

Seth stops by April’s shop, makes small talk, and flirts with her a little.  He needs to get a feel for what she considers romantic.  April gets the impression that Seth is interested in her, but then he disappears.   It isn’t too long after that James makes his play only to get shot down.  Again, this never happens to Seth’s clients.  He has a one-hundred percent success rate.  He can’t believe he failed.  While Seth is trying to figure out why his setups are not working for April, he realizes that he is attracted to her is growing.  Hook ups with a client is not allowed—not ever!  Now what is he supposed to do?

The Romeo Effect by Lila Monroe is a sweet and funny romantic comedy in her Cupids series.  The story has lots of fun banter between Seth and April.   Right from the start, the characters have good chemistry.  The banter and missteps keep the reader turning the page to see how the connection will play out.   There are wonderful secondary characters that add depth and substance to the story.  April has her friends that support and guide her.  Seth has roommates who are a hoot.

The Romeo Effect is a sweet way to escape for a few hours.  The story flows smoothly and kept me engaged and rooting for the couple.  Before I knew it, I was at the end and loving everything about it.  I recommend this book to anyone who needs a lovely romance, with chuckles sprinkled throughout.  You will love it; I know I did.
