The Perfect Hope ends the Inn Boonsboro trilogy. What a great ending it is. Hope Beaumont is convinced to visit Boonsboro by her college roommate, Avery MacTavish. Hope is recovering from a breakup with the man she thought would be her life partner. It is doubly painful because Hope manages an upscale hotel that her boyfriend’s family owns. Losing her boyfriend and her “dream” job is the perfect excuse to get out of town fast.
When Hope hears Justine Montgomery’s vision for Inn Boonsboro, Hope can see the place from Justine’s eyes. Hope sees the potential and knows that innkeeper is her future. She gives Justine suggestions during their first meeting. The only chink in the courtship is Ryder Montgomery. He stands in Hope’s way constantly.
Ryder can be difficult, to say the least. For the most part, Hope can give as good as she gets from Ryder. I enjoyed their sparring. I also loved their collaboration in figuring out Lizzie’s story, the Inn’s ghost. Hope and Ryder have some hurdles to jump to solidify their relationship, especially after Hope’s past comes to town.
I loved this couple, although I can see how Ryder will rub some readers the wrong way. Solving the mystery behind Lizzie is a delightful part of this story. Also, updates on the other couples in the series made this story beautiful for me.
Like the previous books, the audio is performed nicely and pulls the reader into all the action—a good series from start to finish.
