Bully King, told from Cadee and Cooper’s point of view, hurts sometimes. The hate that Cooper has for Cadee does not make sense. What turned him against her? Cadee’s willingness to put up with Cooper makes my head swirl.
Dante Legosi another pledge in Cadee’s class has a mysterious background. How does he fit in the mix and why is he out to destroy Cadee. Something is going on here. The friendship among Cooper, Ax, and Lars is hanging by a thread because secrets can destroy.
Julie is one of a handful of authors who never disappoint me. I know that she is going to take me down a path where I question what she is doing. I trust her to make it right. Somehow, she always does. Even though Bully King is a duet, this first book does not end on a cliffhanger. Most of the secrets bubble to the top. I know there must be repercussion for this group because of decisions they all make. Finding out what they are, and how they recover has me sitting on pins and needles waiting for book two. I love Julie’s storytelling. She never disappoints me.
