I am a fan of cute novellas that I can sit down for a couple hours and escape from the crap and worries circling around in my head. Unforgotten Passion is the escape. It is in Erika Wilde’s Dirty, Sexy Fairy Tale series, so expect some hot moments.

Collin Donovan attends a company sponsored fairy tale ball. Performing at the charity event is Raevynn Walsh, the pop singing sensation of the day. She hit on the scene big after winning a national talent show. She is the fairy-tale-small-town girl who reaches the stars. Collin Donovan knew Rae when they were young neighbors. She was his sister’s best friend, and the girl who owned his heart in high school. He wants to explain what happened when he went to college, and she went to perform. There is unfinished business between them. They both know it.

Rapunzel is one of my favorite fairy tales. Rae is in a tower of success. She should be happy because she has it all. What she really feels is trapped. She is working non-stop for seven years, and it is wearing her down. Colin is successful, kind and loving. I like these two characters. Collin is a protector, but not in a stifling way. His goal is to set Rae free.

Rae is a sweet young woman trying to take control of her life. So many people are pulling her in all directions; she can’t relax. Collin and Raevynn have a past, but there isn’t any anger or resentment between them. Life happened and their paths parted. Now, their time together is talking, playing, and having hot, sexy times. All of which is cathartic for both characters.

Unforgotten Passion is a sweet Calgon moment. It takes me away and I enjoyed the respite.
