Laney and The Stranger's unusual love story continues in this erotic thriller...
A plane crash brought me to the cabin in the woods with the stranger, but love and sex keeps me here, as his willing captive. Nothing can take me from his arms, not even a man from my past. But the police have questions for me. For us.
All I've ever wanted is to stay with the stranger, the man I crave and need, but my secrets are starting to unravel. Escape is what the stranger demands and I'll do anything for him, including leaving the cabin and creating a new identity. I'll do whatever he tells me to do- with my body, my heart, my soul.
The last time I loved, I lost. I won't let that happen again.
HIDE is the follow up to the bestselling erotic thriller, CRASH, with the series conclusion, EXPOSE: The Stranger's Story, releasing in late 2016. For mature readers only.
All you need is love and a strong alibi...

Honestly, I am more confused
after reading Hide that it is frustrating.
I expected to know more about the
backstory of the two main characters with this book and didn’t get it.
Hide
picks up immediately after Crash ends. Laney’s history is explained more through
inner dialog and some conversations with the stranger, however, I’m not sure
what is revealed is the truth or partial truths. What is discovered
helps me see what her life is like in Seattle from a young age and what type of
person she is as an adult. It also shows a little about the reason she hides.
There are moments that her back story made me feel pity, but not enough to make me care about either character yet. If it makes sense,
I do care about the story and “the victims” or past mistakes of these two, but it is like watching a Criminal Minds
show without the procedural. I’m trying
to get into the psyche of craziness.
Laney is a good manipulator
especially when it comes to men. She
uses them for temporary “feel good” moments.
She doesn’t have any qualms about
hurting the women in their lives to get the men she wants. She has excuses that aren’t always valid or
believable. What we do know is still
glimpses of her life that may or may not be complete.
Regarding “Cody” a.k.a. the stranger, his backstory is still a
mystery. There are hints about who and
what he is but he is still unknown, not only to the reader but also to
Laney. All she knows is that she likes
his dominant nature and control and how he brings out something she needs. She does feel like a prisoner occasionally, but
for the most part, they are
partners.
Drew Jordon’s writing is
excellent and holds the reader’s attention.
Personally, I tend to classify this series more plot driven than
character driven even though there are very few characters outside of the
primary characters. The reason I say
this is because I am more interested to find out what they do next than I care about Laney and the stranger.
It is tough to become invested in the characters because there are so
many lies and mysteries regarding the community, their family, and friends, between each other and for the reader. I don’t think I ever read a more frustrating
book. It is a strange comment to make
because the whole time I’m reading and frustrated I want more. I need to know what happens next.

Drew Jordan has always liked the dark, mysterious, and sexy, and she wrote CRASH after a writer friend challenged her to "write without rules." She lives in Miami Beach, the opposite of snowy Alaska, a fact she is grateful for every day in January.
