A BRAND NEW SERIES! The Mister Standalones
Wanting the perfect man doesn’t make me crazy. I just know what I like.
A powerful billionaire in a suit wasn’t even my first choice. McAllister Stonewall was never on my radar, I didn’t even know he existed.
But I do now.
His hands are all over me at work. The heat of his chest pressing against my bare back as he bends me over the desk is the only thing on my mind.
He is my most forbidden desires unleashed. He is my new secret obsession. He is my Mr. Perfect.
Until the moment I realize… There’s no such thing as perfect.

OMG! I love the way Julie Huss writes. It doesn’t matter
if she is in a dark and dirty mood or a light and funny mood (don’t worry there
is still dirty) she hits the bullseye every time.
Mr. Perfect is one of those books
that blind-sides you with its charm. The
story begins with Ellie texting Heathcliff Stonewall, the youngest son in the
Stonewall dynasty. Ellie Hatcher
fantasizes about Heathcliff. She
believes they are going to start dating at some point but his father sent him
to work at the China branch of Stonewall Entertainment. She sends Heathcliff daily texts with updates
from home and her activities, however, they all come back undeliverable. You know this game is going to go wrong
before too long and oh my does it ever.
One of the funniest scenes is when it goes wrong. My only hint (and I know you will have to
read the book to understand) is “TAMPON”.
I laughed so hard my side hurt.
Ellie is a great heroine. For the past seven years she is working as a
celebrity concierge for Stonewall Entertainment. She has bigger dreams for the future but, in
the meantime, she is good at what she does.
The celebrities like her and Stonewall senior is a fan. She has a gentle, mothering quality that she
uses when dealing with the celebrities.
She is also funny in a little off-the-wall quirky/crazy way.
McAllister “Mac” Stonewall is
the new CEO of Stonewall Entertainment and Mr. Perfect. No one really knows too much about him expect
that he is the eldest son of the clan, a billionaire, hot, mysterious, and
commanding. He is also secretive and, as
the boss, forbidden.
The chemistry between Ellie and
Mac is there from the first meet. He is
perfect in every way and the perfect guy with which to have an office romance. Especially for Ellie, because she is planning
on leaving. Their scenes together are
hot, hot, hot.
The support characters are
perfect too. Ellie’s friends and the
perfect friends for her. MacAllister’s
friends are interesting and mysterious.
I can’t wait for their books in the series: Mr. Romantic, Mr. Corporate, Mr. Mysterious,
and Mr. Match will all have their own book in the series. I love the little taste we get of these
characters here. Ellie’s co-workers are
people you see in every office environment, some nice and some not so nice and
they all compliment the main characters.
There are some authors that I
simply like and J.A. Huss is one of them.
She is an amazing storyteller. Even
if a plot appears to be predictable when reading the synopsis you can bet that
it will have an unexpected hook or twist at some point in the story that makes
her books unforgettable. Mr. Perfect is
a feel-good story with a very sweet and satisfying ending. What else can I say except it is a pleasure
to read Julie’s books and I can’t wait for the next one in this series, Mr.
Romantic.
