Six years ago, Midge Knightly walked away from her trust fund, her Hollywood producer father, and the expectation that she would join the family business. Avoiding handsome playboys with hidden agendas was just an added bonus. Now one semester shy of graduation, she is shocked to discover her scholarship has lost its funding.
Her estranged father is having problems of his own. A contestant on his latest reality TV series has cancelled two months before shooting.
His solution?
Midge gets her trust fund back if she stands in as a potential marriage candidate for the dating series Marry Your Billionaire. Twenty women competing for one arrogant guy. Not Midge's cup of tea. Agreeing to this proposition sucks her back into the world she happily broke ties from, but no trust fund equals no college degree.
Brody Prescott, CEO and owner of an online dating company, has recently been pegged as a heartless playboy-among other things-by a disgruntled female after a disappointing date.
His solution?
Become the first bachelor on Marry Your Billionaire and hope that one of the contestants holds some potential. So what is he supposed to do when the woman who intrigues him the most wants to be eliminated?
Marry Your Billionaire is a fun, romantic romp set against the backdrop of reality TV. Throw on your PJ's, grab some chocolate and popcorn, and settle in for an entertaining love story
I received an Arc copy for an honest
review and to be completely truthful with you, there was no way I could give it
rating lower than 5. This book was just
lovely, it was romantic, funny and had suspense thrown into the mix. This entire book was a joy to read. What I also loved was there was no
predictable sex scene that we see so often, it was purely about falling in love
and all the debts, hesitations that can come along. The suspense in this book though had you
guessing and I loved that about the story.
So onto our book characters.
Firstly we have the feisty Midge (Madalyn)
who much to her chagrin is the daughter of a famous Hollywood producer (her
father) and Hollywood Actress (her mother).
Midge is not like the usual Hollywood persona, she has a mind of her own
and a will to do what she has a passion for, which unfortunately was not to
follow in her father’s footsteps. She is
strong willed and as soon as she knew what she wanted to do she gave up her
trust fund to support herself and do what she wanted and you could not help but
love the determination and respect her for those decisions.
Unfortunately for Midge, things take
a nose dive when her scholarship runs out and she has to think about how she is
going to pay for her next semester. At
the same time as this is happening she receives a command from her father that
he wishes to see her.
On route to her father Midge stops at
her café that she adores and has a specific table she sits at to write her novel
and think, but on this particular day, her seat is taken which just infuriates
Midge. She does sit at another table but
happens to hear the conversation at what is usually her table. It is here we meet Billionaire (Supposedly
playboy) Brody Prescott, who is the owner of an online dating agency and who is
having bad press at the moment and has been duped into doing this reality show
to get his image out from the perception of a playboy and back into the CEO he
is.
Along comes the reality TV show “Marry
your Billionaire”. Midge can’t help
Brody and his assistant argue over this TV show as quite frankly Brody does not
want to do it. It is in this café that
these two first become acquainted. Midge
can’t help but give Brody her honest and quite frank opinion on what he should
do and from that moment on Brody is captivated by Midge. Midge is a woman he has been looking for in a
long time, someone who knows their own mind, does not just pander to him
because of his money and actually has a brain.
He is instantly attracted to her but Midge has to leave before he can
get any more details from her as to whom she is.
When Midge does get to her father’s
office it is here she learns that one of the candidates to the Reality show (that
she discovers her father is producing), has had to cancel so in order to get
her funds for her next semester at colleague her father gives her the
opportunity to star in the show and she can get her trust fund back, this
giving her money to carry on with her dreams.
Midge does agree but only for 1 night
and then she must be eliminated. Unknown to Midge though, Brody is the
Billionaire in the show.
I am sure you can imagine how that
meeting will have gone down.
What transpires after that initial
meeting is priceless and Brody has no inclination to let Midge get away again,
let the games begin.
The story goes on with lots of
laughter and you can actually see the chemistry between Brody and Midge happen
and take fold but don’t relax too easily as there are underlying plots going on
behind the scenes, dangerous plots and as the weeks go on there is more and
more danger happening on the locations that will keep you gripped to your
kindle.
Will Midge and Brody get their happily
ever after or will something happen to stop this. You have to read the book to find out.
I must admit, I laughed, I cried and I
went Awwww throughout this book, I just loved it and I know you will too. Enjoy

I began writing short stories for family and friends when I was thirteen years old. My vivid imagination and love of mysteries and romances eventually led me to following my own dreams of becoming a published author. I also do some book review work on the side for SDE Magazine.
I'm a huge fan of The Mindy Project, Hugh Jackman, and binge eating any and all things chocolate. Who isn't, am I right?
As a mother of four awesome kids I'm usually playing beauty salon with my daughters (my four-year-old shaved my arm one time while I was helping another daughter with her homework. Yep. That happened) getting my fanny kicked in Mario Kart by my snarky little son, and making out with my deliciously handsome looking Latin lover, aka, my hubby.
