"He owns you. Whatever he tells you to do you do".
One year. No future. A past that won't go away.
Lennox "Nox" Demetri broke his own rule by making a deal. It may not have been directly with the devil, but that doesn't mean Satan himself isn't watching. Was it fate that brought Charli into his life and his bed? What will happen when rules are broken and secrets are revealed?
"New rules...my rules."
Alex "Charli" Collins found pleasure with Nox like she'd never known. That was before she knew his last name. Now that Infidelity is involved and the rules have changed, what will result when real life and fantasy collide?
Is it really cheating if you're doing it to yourself?
From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Aleatha Romig comes a sexy, new dominant hero who knows what he wants and a strong-willed heroine who has plans of her own. What others are saying about Cunning
Just when you came to terms with the twists of Betrayal, you’re sucker punched and sent on another rollercoaster ride of emotions in Cunning. ~ USA Today Bestselling author Rebecca Shea
Betrayal was the introduction and Cunning is the first glimpse behind the curtain with intrigue from all avenues. Nox is still dirty and delicious but this is more than just a romance....it's addictive. ~New York Times Bestselling author Pepper Winters
Brilliant with a gripping story, sure to stir your every emotion. One of my top favorites, and with my head bowed to my feet, Nox moves Anthony from his pedestal. I love him! (Sorry Tony) ~ Bestselling author Jettie Woodruff
I was so excited to be given the next
instalment of the Infidelity Series by Aleatha Romig, Cunning. I shouted it from the rooftops that I
was just about to start this book. This
is what Aleatha’s writing does to me, it makes me a kid at Christmas opening
presents and in this case the next book in the instalment.
Cunning continues on from where Betrayal finished.
Anxious to find out more about Nox and Alex (Charli) and to
see if questions I had were going to be answered I could not wait to
start. Everything else got put aside until I could finish this book.
One thing I have noticed with Aleatha’s writing is her book
titles all have a purpose, in Betrayal we noticed the betrayal of Alex’s family
to her and in Cunning, well let’s just say, Cunning is a very apt name for the
book.
This
is a difficult review to write, mainly because I do not want to give anything
away but I want to let you all know how amazing this book is.
I
love Nox, there it is said, I know a lot of people may go up and down with him
but to me I just love him, I love the way he is, his care, possessiveness and
Alpha tendencies. He is very deep and I think the further into this
series we get the more we will see of that and I for one can’t wait to
experience more from him. Yes he has skeletons, he has demons but I also
feel he has a good heart deep down. “Like
a spider to a fly, his silent invitation enticed and excited me. For
reasons I couldn’t comprehend” I
loved this phrase as it showed to me how much influence Nox actually has
Alex
is very strong and determined and yes she does have a “smart mouth” but that is
what I love about her, she speaks then thinks about what she has done but she
is so true that she wants to know more, learn more, open up and be honest with
those she trusts and who trust her. She is unique. Yes she has an
upbringing that has been drilled into her from a young age, a heritage she
needs to keep but she has her own mind, her own will and her own purpose that
she desperately wants to attain. “Thanks
to my Montague upbringing, when it came to illusion, I was a master” this say’s volumes to me about Alex
and her life.
There is so much going on in this book that for me it was a delight to read. I had a few of my questions from Betrayal answered but it has left me with more and to me that is the sign of a great book, it pulls you in, answers some things but leaves you wanting more. Nox and Alex is my drug of choice and I love it.

In
my opinion if you have read Betrayal you will devour Cunning, if you have not
read Betrayal yet, then add it immediately to your TBR lists and get going with
it. This is not a series you would ever want to miss.
One
thing I love about Aleatha’s books is they are full of love, doubt, intrigue,
suspense and laughter.
Cunning
has everything in it, family loyalty, betrayal, power, wealth, love, laughter
and at times tears. It is beautifully written and captures your heart so
much that you curse the fact you have to wait another couple of months for the
next book.
One
phrase came to mind while reading this book and I feel it is very apt:- Oh, what
a tangled web we weave. When first we
practise to deceive
