*** REVIEW *** SEXY by J A Huss

Fletcher Novak is Sexy.

Fletch has charm, Fletch has charisma, and Fletch has moves. He turns dreams into reality two nights a week, baring his body to lonely women, bored housewives, and bachelorettes looking for that one last good time. He’s into one-night stands, one-time things, and he never, ever gets serious.

Tiffy Preston is looking for commitment.

A billionaire’s daughter with the world at her fingertips, Tiffy’s in Lake Tahoe to take over her father’s hotel and clean up the Mountain Men Male Revue Show. She’s well-bred, polite, and hates everything Fletcher represents.

But Fletcher offers Tiffy something she can’t refuse—total satisfaction and the man of her dreams. All she has to do is… everything he tells her.

Because Sexy doesn’t sell… it’s for sale.

Sexy is a full-length, standalone novel by New York Times Bestselling author, JA Huss.

Sexy is the latest, and slightly different, novel by J A Huss.  If you are familiar with Ms. Huss’ writing you know that most of her books are the kind of stories that have you sitting on the edge your seat desperately wanting to skip to the end but knowing you can’t ruin the big reveal.  Sexy isn’t one of those stories.  This book is a lighter fare that is fun to read, a little different, with a reveal but not the nail biting kind.  I really enjoyed the change of pace.

“…sexy doesn’t sell, Tiffy.  It’s for sale.”

The hero of the story is Fletcher Novack.  He is a very sexy male stripper and king of the one night stand.  He knows how to play his audience and he knows how to pick up women.  He isn’t interested in a relationship as he is too busy playing and planning his future.

"...I'm a winner and everyone I take under my wing is a reflection of me."

Tiffy Preston is the heroine.  She is the daughter of the owner of a string of hotels and casinos.  She is learning her way around the business while building a name for herself.  She is also Fletcher’s boss.  She doesn’t like Fletch from the start and is determined to fire him.

"You're the most pathetic mess of a man I've ever met, Fletcher. You're nothing but a pretty face with a dark soul."

I like the way these two characters are developed.  They start out using each other to advance personal goals.  Before long it is discovered that both characters are flawed.  Honestly, I really didn’t like them in the beginning.   However, as the story unfolds I find that they are both irritating because they don’t really want to let people in and struggling with fear and insecurities.  It is the walls they build that make them appear superficial not the person behind the wall.

"Life is a game. And there are many ways to win it."

The support characters are very interesting.  Cole is the man that Tiffany thinks she wants.  He doesn’t have a clue and I don’t what she sees in him.  We are often attracted to someone with the right pedigree, education or earning potential and don’t see the real person.  Then there is Claudio.  He is Tiffy’s best friend and a hoot.  He tells it like it is.  Some of the funniest scenes are with Claudio.

Sexy is not your typical romance novel.  There is a lot to find out about the two main characters and you really have to read it to experience it yourself.  Sexy has some very hot sex scenes.  If you are a fan of Ms. Huss you will recognize her very talented writing style even if the core of the storyline is lighter than previous books.  You will also like that it is a standalone.

I always know that a Julie Huss book is going to capture my imagination and take me to a very special fictional place that I will remember for years to come.   If you need a pick me up and a smile, Sexy is the book to read.  It is a great read that flows at a perfect pace.  I recommend it!
