Synopsis: Sarah Travers has had a really bad month. First, a drunken night of sex with her best friend – and the secret love of her life – Cameron Scott resulted in him freaking out on her and going MIA. That would have been bad enough but then her boss, a high-powered Hollywood director, cast Cameron as the lead in his new movie and put Sarah in charge of his publicity. On the bright side, it turns out she’s rather good at it - much to the chagrin of the studio’s PR team. Cameron’s back in the picture and he’s made some surprising confessions of his own, taking their relationship from thefriend zone to so much more.
Now Sarah and Cameron are forced to deal with how their love for one another impacts their circle of friends and what it means for his career. With pressure from the studio to keep their relationship a secret, the two must figure out how to navigate not only the stresses of any new relationship, but also one under such a strong spotlight. Our Little Secret, a 23,000-word novella, is installment two in the Her Confessional series.
Our Little Secret
The second book in this
series I felt was a bit rushed to be honest, I felt that the way Cameron and
Sarah moved from not seeing each other after the drunken night to having sex to
then getting engaged, it just felt like a bit fast for me.
I did love though that you
got to know more of Cameron in book 2.
He came across more as one of the guys, he is one of those men that you
can’t help but love him, you want to hate him at times and throw things at him
but you just can’t……. so frustrating .
He will show you how much he loves you no matter whom is there or what
people say and to me that is just what we all want in a man.
Cameron and Sarah like I said previously have
a quick dating life then they get engaged, I know they have been best friends
for a while but although it may not work for some it does work for these two.
There is obstacles that need to be dealt with
and overcome though, what relationship doesn’t have these but Cameron’s career
is taking off and Sarah has major insecurities and doubts which all need to be
addressed and I can’t wait to see how this all transpires and if they can
overcome everything.

Synopsis: Sarah Travers is a happy, self-confident plus-size woman living in Hollywood and working as the personal assistant to a major Hollywood director. Her best friend? His name is Cameron Scott. Her secret, something she's never told anyone before? She's in love with him. Truly, madly, deeply. Sarah knows it's a bad idea to fall in love with your best friend, but that's not her biggest problem. Nope. You see, Cameron just landed the role of a lifetime and now millions of other women are in love with him too. Her Confessional is a sexy new romance series told from the point of view of Sarah Travers, a smart, happy, plus-size heroine who explores - through a series of written confessions - what happens when the best friend she's secretly in love with becomes the world's most famous actor overnight. THE MAKING OF A STAR, an 18,0000+ word novella, is the first installment in the series.
I liked this story from the synopsis and was happy to be given it to read for review.
The character Sarah is so down to earth and not like normal heroines in books, you know the tall, skinny size 0 lady but she was a more voluptuous girl with all the right curves in the right places and made me smile as it is always nice to read a book like that.
The way the story is written it was like Sarah was sitting next to me telling me her story about how much she loved Cameron and all about her shyness and exactly what Cameron meant to her, it was so sweet.
These two start out as friends but it does become apparent that they have feelings for each other but Sarah does everything she can to ignore the feelings and him. What she didn’t count on though was getting so drunk, you know what it is like, one drunken night and the rest is history …. Or so they say.
Things do not go well after that drunken night and honestly if Cameron was in the same room as me I think he would not have a manhood left for the way he behaved to Sarah. Sarah didn’t deserve to be treated that way by Cameron; they were supposed to be best of friends. My heart really went out to her there.
You are left though wanting to know more which I do like about a story as I want to get to the end and find out the next chapter of the characters’ lives.
One of the other things I loved about this story was there were sex scenes but nothing explicit it was just lovely to read that and not something heavy.
