New York Times bestselling author J. Kenner kicks off a smoking hot, emotionally compelling new trilogy that returns to the world of her beloved Stark novels: Release Me, Claim Me, and Complete Me. Say My Namefeatures Jackson Steele, a strong-willed man who goes after what he wants, and Sylvia Brooks, a disciplined woman who’s hard to get—and exactly who Jackson needs.
I never let anyone get too close—but he’s the only man who’s ever made me feel alive.
Meeting Jackson Steele was a shock to my senses. Confident and commanding, he could take charge of any room . . . or any woman. And Jackson wanted me. The mere sight of him took my breath away, and his touch made me break all my rules.
Our bond was immediate, our passion untamed. I wanted to surrender completely to his kiss, but I couldn’t risk his knowing the truth about my past. Yet Jackson carried secrets too, and in our desire we found our escape, pushing our boundaries as far as they could go.
Learning to trust is never easy. In my mind, I knew I should run. But in my heart, I never felt a fire this strong—and it could either save me or scorch me forever.
Say My Name is intended for mature audiences
You may know J. Kenner from The Stark Trilogy
books. I loved these and was pleased
that she was following on that dynasty.
The richness of the writing is what I expected from
J.Kenner, the diversity and intrigue was all there. Knowing that there was history but not quite
what it was kept me interested to see how this would play out.
Jackson Steel, hot, sensual, moody but in a brooding
way, had me in the palm of his hand, there was such a way with him that like
Damien if he ordered me to do something I would do it, he just has that way
about him.
Sylvia Brooks, determined, gorgeous lady, someone
whom I felt could give any of the top models a run for their money but had a
loving and faithful side to her best friend but was also haunted by her past
and that made her secretive and insecure.
The chemistry between these two was set a light
from the first time they connected, five years ago, however, that was not to be
but now we see Sylvia and Jackson back together again under different
circumstances, but the bigger picture is can they work together, can they put
the past behind them and move on?
This isn’t about me. This isn’t about
Jackson. And it’s not about us, because there is no us. It’s about the resort,
and I’d do well to remember that.
When I first started reading this book I felt that
that it was going to get so far then stop and I would be left hanging until the
next book, but I was surprised at how much J.Kenner put into this first book,
it gives you an insight into what these two have to do to overcome their past,
the secrecy, the insecurities that plague them.
They also have major difficulties to deal with ahead of them and it will
be so interesting to see how this is handled and what comes out at the end of
the trilogy.
Although you delve a bit into the pasts of both
these characters there are still lots of questions to be answered and although
this is not a standard cliffhanger, I did get to the end and go “No” it can’t end now, I really
wanted more but then that will just set me right up for the next book.
If you love J.Kenner’s writing you will love this
series and the good thing as well is that you don’t have to have read The Stark
Trilogy to know what is going on in this book, it flows like a brand new
series.
