Speculation over a star football player’s sex life threatens his public image and that of his submissive, a quiet middle school teacher.
***
As an NFL star player for the Memphis Kings, Trevor Adams lives his life in the spotlight. All except for one small part. In his hidden moments, he’s a Dom. In spite of the celebrity life and his alternative sexual preferences, none of his partners have managed to keep his interest for long. Until he meets Nina.
Nina Barkley is a quiet middle school teacher. Her life is the exact opposite of Trevor’s. Except for the shared interest in BDSM. She has been involved in the BDSM groups in and around Memphis ever since she moved there right after college. After years of experimentation, she considers herself a switch—able to be either a Dominant or a submissive depending on her partner and what they both want. Being introduced to Trevor turns her life upside down and makes her question her true preferences.
Between the threat of being exposed by the ever-present media, Trevor’s underlying fear he will be transferred to another team, and both their troubled pasts, will they be able to find what they need in each other before they are pulled apart?
I must admit when I was first asked to read this book I read
the synopsis and wondered is this going to be like most BDSM books I have read
or will there be something different.
Well I am so excited to let you all know that this book is different,
yet is deals with a Dom/Sub relationship but you what I loved about this book
is you use your imagination, nothing was spelt out right there and then for
you.
This book will take you by surprise and I am sure you will
love it.
So we have the super hot and hunky Dom/ Trevor who agrees to
be set up on a ‘Blind Date’ so to speak by his friend Arnie. The thing is Trevor who is a NFL football
player also has to keep his sexual preferences quiet otherwise it could ruin
his career so privacy is the ultimate stipulation for Trevor. Arnie knows this and knows the exact woman
whom he feels Trevor will get along nicely with.
Here we meet Nina.
Nina the local school teacher also has to think of her reputation. She educates minds, she can’t be seen to have
a personal life that is not up to the School or Parents standards so for her
privacy is of the utmost importance.
There is one thing different with Nina though, she is a
switch, she has been a Dom and a Sub, but can she be the sub that Trevor needs
and wants?
Right from the beginning when Trevor meets Nina there is an
attraction there that is so strong it takes both of them by surprise. Trevor even doubts himself, he is in a
different league than Nina, can he go through with this, and can he get her to
be his sub. Nina also has reservations,
she is used to being in control, can she give all her control to Trevor and
like it or will she hate it. Trevor
needs Nina to trust him and give him everything she has which means her giving
him her all.
There is no doubt about it that from the first moment these
two touched each other the sexual chemistry there is electrifying and you can
feel it through the words in this book.
What I did love is that although there are some sexual references, the
author has written the book in a way that makes you use your imagination as to
what is going on with these two and I loved every minute of it. It was refreshing to read a book like this
and not see every page filled with sexual references or explicit scenes.
I am not saying that Trevor and Nina don’t have their
differences, they sure do and they have obstacles to overcome, yes there is issues
on both sides and uncertainties but the big question is can they overcome it
all to make their feelings for each other mature and grow into something more.
I would recommend this book to everyone, it is refreshing,
great to follow and will keep you reading until you finish.
