Annalee wants a no-strings fling. Eric's all about the strings. Twelve years ago, when Eric Sorenson's date dumped him right before the Senior Prom, his older sister’s best friend stepped in to save him from total humiliation. He never forgot Annalee or what she did for him that night…or the kiss they shared. He wants Annalee, and if he has his way, they'll take up where they left off. And this time, he won't let go.
After a messy divorce, Annalee's not looking forward to her high school reunion. She's shocked when Eric appears at her door ready to return the favor and play escort. Gone is the inexperienced boy with a severe stutter—he's a striking, confident man. The memory of the kiss they shared rekindles an attraction that never died, and she's been on her own for a year. Isn't she entitled to kick loose and have a let's-go-crazy night?
This is a fun quick read that I enjoyed
completely. Don’t Let Go is a short novella about a divorcee, Annalee and her
best friend’s brother Eric, who are given a second chance to find love.
The story is well written. The characters are developed in a realistic
way. In fact, I love the characters and
the way they evolve as the story unfolds.
Annaleegets stronger and really grows as the story progresses. Eric is the perfect male love interest. He is easy on the eyes with a kind heart and
a fun personality and he has loved Annalee for a long time. Eric wants hernow but he isn’t sure if this
is their time yet.
There is a best friend, Dee, also Eric’s
sister. Dee wants her Annalee to be
happy but that isn’t going to happen until she can
resolve her issues with her ex-husband.
Finally we have a shitty ex-husband that we have to hate. He is a major
sleaze and needs to be put in his place.
The book centers on a class reunion and
Annalee’s trepidation in attending. She doesn’t
want to interact with her ex; however, the gossip that would spread around her
small town if she doesn’t attend is just as bad. Eric comes to her rescue and
is her date for the night.
There are a lot of mixed messages and
missed opportunities that weave together to make a great story.
The book is short but there is a little of
everything that a good romance novel needs packed into these 60 pages. Reading Don’t
Let Gois a great way to spend your reading time.
You won’t regret it.
