As Jake finishes his finale, he takes a bow and runs offstage toward me. He lifts me off the ground and spins me around.

“Glad to see me?” I ask.

“You have no idea what it’s like to look out into the crowd and find eyes that you know. Really know, Belle.”

“If I didn’t know better, Mr. Bryant, I’d think somebody had a crush.”

“If I didn’t know better, I’d think you liked it.”

“What can I say? I’m a sucker for a country boy in tight ass jeans that knows how to work a stage.”

I was given this novella for a true and honest review by the author.

Although it was a novella, I found it a charming and delightful story about young love, friendship and a knowledge that it is not always the new things in your life that are right for you, sometimes things just happen for a reason and you should not question it.

At first I thought Jake was a bit cocky and show off but the more I read the sweeter he was to me and the more down to earth he felt, he just wanted a normal life, away from being a rock star, needless to say though he knows he can attract the women and he does play on that but he found something in Belle that changed him and made him think that maybe for once in his life he can have that one good thing, that one person who will turn his life around.

Belle is sweet, she is friendly, bubbly and an amazing singer but she knows what she wants with her life and how to get it and set's about doing that.  She has her goal.  Yes she is attracted to Jake, who isn't, he is a singer and a hot one at that but she also has her feet grounded and does not forget her friends.  Chase being one of them.

Chase is the best friend and has loved Belle since the moment they became friends but can he tell her, can he be more to her or has he lost her for good to Jake?

Such a lovely story and a great one if you want something sweet and easy to read, I really liked this book and would recommend it to you all.

Over the years, she found her way to relax was in a good book. Her perfect day consists of water, sand between her toes, a cold beverage, and a great book!
