Aidan Hunter lost the only girl he ever loved to his older brother. To numb his pain, he drinks in excess, parties too hard, and sleeps with countless women. When his family expresses concern, he does what he's been taught to do—fake it and pretend his life is perfect. Pretend he loves his new girl and pretend his heart isn’t broken.
Maria Santiago is simply trying to survive each day until she finishes college. As a single mother, life is a constant struggle. Add running from a dangerous past and working in the oldest profession, and all she has is hope for a better life. Hope one day she will no longer feel shame and hope her past never catches up with her.
After Aidan pays to spend one wild night with Maria, pretending to be unaffected by her is impossible. Their night comes to an explosive end and Maria hopes she never sees him again, but Aidan refuses to give up. As Maria begins to accept that Aidan’s feelings for her are genuine, someone from her past threatens her life. Aidan’s not intimidated and takes a huge risk to protect her.
Will the risk pay off and allow Aidan the opportunity to provide Maria with the better life she’s been hoping for?

I've absolutely loved Tug since I met him in Irreparably Broken. He was such a sweet boy and watching all of the heart ache he experienced tore me apart. By the time Irreversibly Damaged was finished my heart was completely broken for Tug. I needed him to find his own happy ending. I needed him to be okay.
The Tug we meet in 'Tug' is very jaded and broken. He absolutely breaks my heart. The Tug you meet in this book is a shell of the boy we met in IB. He has had so much more to deal with than someone should have to experience. He lets the anger that he carries around taint all of his interactions, outside of his business.
Maria had her own slew of issues to deal with. She guarded her heart as much as she could. She knew how much people could hurt one another and didn't want to experience that again. Tug was definitely an unwanted presence in her life.
After a disastrous initial meeting Tug knows that there is something about Maria that he has to explore. She is different from the conquests he has pursued. She is better and he will stop at nothing to show her that he will do whatever he has to to spend time with him. After she finally relents they learn more about themselves and each other than they ever thought possible.
I absolutely loved this book. Since finishing Irreversible Damage I wanted needed to know that Tug was going to be okay. While Tug may have not got his HEA in this book (there is a second book coming out) knowing that he is on his way to finding it, to becoming the Tug we met in Irreparably Broken, was wonderful. Seeing him be genuinely happy was wonderful. I can not wait for book two to come out so that I can find out how his story ends.
Tug is a HUGE cliffhanger. But it is so worth the ride. I strongly suggest reading the Irreparable series, which Tug is a spinoff of.
