In my opinion, this is Vi's best work to date.
I love Vinny.
I loved his values and the way he is unapologetic for who he is how he got where he is today.
You feel an air of sadness about him from the very first chapter but it is brushed off with a tough guy image and a cocky attitude. Don't mistake this attitude as a turn off, oh no...Vinny is hot, sexy and there is nothing remotely off putting about him. He doesn't mince his words. Doesn't apologise for saying what he wants or how he's going to go about getting it.
"Trust me about one thing, Liv...whatever is going on between us, it's going to happen. You can make it as difficult as you want, but we, Liv, are going tp happen. Neither one of us can stop it."
As with all bad boys, they have a weakness. In this case, Vinny's weakness is Liv Michaels. She's his childhood crush. The one girl that made him feel different and the girl he left because he didn't think he was good enough. Luckily, their strengths compliment each other and they manage to overcome a whole host of things.
"I don't think it matters what we plan for ourselves. Some things in life are just too powerful to change."
There were quite a few little turns that I wasn't expecting and found myself saying 'Oooh nice touch Vi!'
The sex that we get is hot, Vinny is quite forward to say the least and his dirty mouth is a huge turn on. He's quite often, raw and animalistic.
It reads fast and is and easy ride to stay seated for. Vi has a wonderful ability to paint a colourful picture and her descriptive wording really makes you feel the emotions as you get deeper into the story. I would have liked a little more of their story and I wasn't quite ready to let them go! Which is of course a good thing and Vi did her job well!!
Vi Keeland is a native New Yorker with three
children that occupy most of her free time, which she complains about often,
but wouldn't change for the world. She is a bookworm and has been known to read
her kindle at stop lights, while styling her hair, cleaning, walking, during
sporting events, and frequently while pretending to work. She is a
boring attorney by day, and an exciting smut author by night!
