Bravo Belle! I totally wasn't expecting any of that, and while I still haven't figured out quite how I feel about you after that, I do know that you're awesome!!
Ok, so I'm unsure how to review a book like that!
It's so unconventional that I feel an unconventional review would be justified!!
Is it dark? No
It's it light? Certainly not.
It is what it says on the tin- A twisted love story.
Does it have a HEA?...hmmmm...Yes and no!
Did I love all the characters? YES- every single one of them! I want a 'Happy' story!! Oh and a 'Dave' story. Could we have a 'Nikki' story too?
They were all awesome.
Is TWITCH hot? Oh hell to the mother f***ing yes...
"There's only one way I fuck." The words are so crude that my lips part and I huff in an unsteady breath. He takes a step forward, his eyes never leaving mine. "Dirty" Watching my reaction he adds, "and this type of dirty..." he breathes deep and says on an exhale, "...it doesn't wash off."
Do we get Belle Aurora's trademark 'funny'? Yes we sure do. Buckets of it.
Did it make me cry? VERY very close, but not this time.
What did I love?
I loved they way the Twitch grew as a person. I felt so strongly about him and although he did bad things it didn't make him a bad person. Despite his detest of being 'Labelled' I felt he labelled himself as bad and therefore struggled to let himself love or be loved. Defining the feeling as obsession or addiction as if it made him feel better about it that way.
I also loved how Lexi wasn't weak. She was strong, independent and I felt she stayed true to herself and her forgiving character the whole way through.
Did I have a favorite scene?
Many scenes replay in my mind when I think about this. But, the role play scene stands out. It really was like you were right there. Feeling their emotions. Bordering on excitement and fear and not knowing if it was actually going wrong until it finished.
There's love, hate, addiction, revenge, twists, hope, despair, drugs, and a whole heap of other stuff that I couldn't possibly mention or it would ruin it all for you. There is most definitely something for everyone in there.
'He always did the right thing the wrong way'
This was a clever piece of writing. Delivered well. I was pulled in, I wanted to pick up my kindle at every opportunity, and i'm sure I will remember that damn ending for a long time!
4-4.5 stars!!
