Quintessentially Q by Pepper Winters~Tour Stop and Giveaway~

Blurb:

“All my life, I battled with the knowledge I was twisted… fucked up to want something so deliciously dark—wrong on so many levels. But then slave fifty-eight entered my world. Hissing, fighting, with a core of iron, she showed me an existence where two wrongs make a right."

Tess is Q’s completely. Q is Tess’s irrevocably. But now, they must learn the boundaries of their unconventional relationship, while Tess seeks vengeance on the men who sold her. Q made a blood-oath to deliver their corpses at Tess’s feet, and that’s just what he’ll do.

He may be a monster, but he’s Tess’s monster.

Series Info:
Quintessentially Q is the second book in the Monsters In The Dark Series

This is easy for me... I FREAKIN' LOVED THIS BOOK!!!
Deliciously dark, twisted and totally disturbing. It wrenched my heart out of my chest and had my stomach in my mouth the whole way through.

'Naked and restrained, this darkness cannot be contained, you, my esclave, have been claimed...'

I couldn't have even begun to guess the direction this book was going to take and I was caught off guard.
Now, not to demote Tears of Tess as it was awesome-A certain 5 star read- but QQ was really something else. Pepper Winters' mind knows no bounds as boundaries are pushed and limits are well and truly tested. We're not just talking the limits of Tess and Q, we're talking my limits too. Their journey and Peppers sick, twisted mind takes us to places that you might not care to venture. If it was a film, you would be peeking around a cushion or between your fingers!
I'm not even going to touch on the story line as it is so hard to make this review spoiler free and i'm not going to spoil it for anyone. i'm just going to tell you that it is all about the journey. Tess and Q, finding a balance, overcoming obstacles that would be sure to break the strongest person and realising that their souls are entwined so tight that there's no escape.
It's no secret that Tess is strong. She has moved on from being kidnapped, been set free and has returned to her supposed captor where she feels she belongs. Through QQ she endures her biggest test yet and for once i didn't know if she could or would survive. I actually thought she had been truly broken, past the point of return.

'No other man had a voice like Q. Dark, dangerous, laced with a melodic french accent. Being reprimanded by him was pure audio perfection.'

Q. Where do I begin? Poor tormented, tortured Q. My heart couldn't take the weight
of his pain.  The events through this book took their toll on him emotionally and physically. I think I actually feared for his life more than I did Tess. There were so many times I wasn't sure if he could make it out unscathed. In fact, neither of them come out unscathed. They may have survived, but everything that happens through this book has a huge impact on them individually and together.  It impacts massively on them resulting in a huge climax which had me feeling  with such intensity it was an actual physical reaction.

'Home. A place where I used to be free, but not anymore. The moment Tess walked into my life she owned me. I would never be free again. I never wanted to be free again. If Tess thought she'd leave me by killing herself, she'd hate me for an eternity when i kept her alive.'

Throughout the whole book, their connection is still undeniable. They are very clearly meant to be together and it is obvious to us as a reader that they are falling in love. What i really love is that it runs deeper than that. It's an all consuming love that rules deep inside. Their sexual connection is as always, super charged. It's still dark, but there's a tenderness there which makes it feel so much more intense.

'She looked so fragile and I embraced two urges: one that wanted to see just how fragile she was with the use of a whip, and one who wanted to wrap her in bubble wrap and cover her with kisses.'

So, this is not for the fainthearted, it's dark, it's deep and but it's oh so delicious.  It might break your mind into teeny tiny pieces, but it's mended by the end. It is the first book in a very long time to grab me by the balls and not let go until the very last word.  It is balanced so well, a perfect mix of Love and hate. Pleasure and pain, and finally a little light to balance out the darkness. My inner hopeless romantic as well as the dark romance lover is very happy!

'He'd given me himself. Forever.'
