I beta'd this book, so it holds a VERY special place in my heart. There is nothing quite like getting that very first taste of a book when it is completely raw and you can feel all of the blood sweat and tears that a writer is putting into something. I was very honored to have this privilege.
Wanting You is a second Chance romance with a huge twist. Deke and Vann were each other's whole lives until the day that Vann has to leave without telling Deke goodbye. All she can do is leave him a note and hope he understands. It is especially heart-wrenching because of the things that he is going through that only Vann can help him with.
Neither of them had great home lives. Their parents were less than stellar. In fact I kind of hoped that the parents could all be locked together in a dark hole and left there to rot. I understood a little bit more why Deke's parents were awful to him, but Vann's mother was just a manipulative bitch as far as I was concerned. God, I hated her!
Watching Vann and Deke bleed out all the hurt over her abrupt departure was hard. I knew why he was so freaking angry but it didn't make it any easier to watch. I was pretty sure that there was no way in hell that he was EVER going to forgive her, even though she never left of her own free will.
I can't even begin to touch on the secondary characters or we will be here all day! Just know that this story would not have been half as good without them. I cannot wait to learn more about all of them in the rest of the series!!
I love this book! Pick it up, read it. You won't be disappointed!
