Delilah “Lily” Flynn is used to her drab existence. Lily’s been living it for twenty two years. Her boring life is suddenly turned on its head when she’s rudely kidnapped from her bedroom. Or so she thinks. Nox Taylor is far too high up in his field to be assigned a babysitting job. There’s nothing more he wants than to complete his mission so he can be rid of the smartass tomboy, Lily. Day after day, Nox watches Lily and her strange ways. She’s unlike any woman he’s ever met. Getting close to the girl is purely for her own protection…right? Lily never imagined she’d make her first real friends in captivity. What lengths would she go through to keep them? (Author note: This is NOT a dark romance.)

Nikki's Review
Willing Captive was a little different to what I was expecting, actually all kinds of different! But in a totally good way! Belle has quickly become a 'go to' author for me. I know I'm going to love her words, she's a perfect fit for me. I know she will make me laugh (This chick is funny), swoon, get a little hot under the collar and maybe even cry a little. Well, Willing Captive did all of these, except make me cry...I am the Ice Queen if you didn't already know. If we are being honest here, it nearly got me a couple of times.
I love when a book doesn't turn out to be anything like you thought I would but exceeds your expectations all the same. It has the same funny, quirky, feel that I have come to know and love from Belle, but, it has a totally different feel to it compared to her previous works.
It starts out with Lily, a seemingly spoiled little rich girl whose daddy want to keep her sheltered and doesn't want her to grow up. of course she isn't spoiled, she doesn't even really want to be rich. She want to be free, normal and unrestricted. The one advantage from being sheltered is that you don't know you're in any kind of danger. Until it all goes to far...
Lily is kidnapped from her room one evening, her sister is also kidnapped too but taken somewhere different and Lily is kept out of the loop, not knowing why she's been taken and where the rest of her family are.
Nox, he's closed off, prickly, seemingly cold, but sexy as hell and under that cold, hard exterior he's soft as a marshmallow. He kidnaps Lily, for reasons only known to him. He's good at what he does and has a zero failure rate. He has no intention of harming Lily or even bribing her family for money.
She's Killing me slowly, and she doesn't even know it.
He's protecting her. He has been hired to save her life not fall in love.
Their relationship is slow to develop but the build up is delicious and makes it all the more believable when it happens. He turns into a sweet thoughtful guy but manages to keep the sexy, protective man all the same.
A man like Nox is wild. You can't tame him. You don't want to even try. His ferocity is gorgeous. There's beauty in every single scowl and glare he shoots my way. Things won't ever be the same for me. And I'm grateful.
The secondary characters are awesome too. Boo and Rock are badass and sweet rolled into one. Boo made the perfect friend to Lily and I love how they were 'girls' together, dancing around the kitchen, gossiping for advice etc. Rock is just a whole hunk of love! I'd be a very happy girl if Belle gave them a spin off book *nudge nudge*

The 'Captive' theme is a very loose description and for the main part, this story is about a beautiful relationship, building from the most unexpected circumstance. Add plenty of humour, cheekiness and super scorching hot moments and you've got your self a winner.
The last 30% is where the story starts to change, it intensifies, it deepens and it will tear at your heart strings. I loved it, I choked up and I felt every emotion. My heart broke a little but the ending was so wonderfully wrapped up, not rushed in the slightest and fleshed out so well that you feel complete. I am pleased to say that you will have a very happy, hearts and flowers, ending!
A fabulous, 'you've gone and done it again', 4.5 stars!!
