Carly Phillips and Erika Wilde are an excellent writing duo.  What I like about their partnership is that you can’t tell where one author drops off and the other begins.  They write together in one voice beautifully.  For me, the Dirty Sexy series is a perfect example of their collaboration and their growth as a duo since, Dirty Sexy Saint, the first book in the series.  It is also my opinion that the bookend, Dirty Sexy Sinner is the best book in the series.

Dirty Sexy Sinner is Jackson Stone’s story.  The Dirty Sexy series is about the Kincaid brothers with each book centered on one brother dealing with the demons from the past and finding love and happiness.  Jackson Stone is the lost Kincaid brother and the “saint’s” twin.  From all outward appearances, Jackson Stone is the luckiest of the group.  He is raised in a wealthy loving family whereas the other three brothers, as kids, struggle to put food on the table and battle life daily as children of an addict.

Like I said that is the outward appearance, the truth inside the Stone’s house isn’t that pretty for Jackson.  Jackson is Clay’s identical twin.  There is no denying the relation.  The story of how Jackson is separated from his twin is heartbreaking and a lot for him to understand.  Jackson’s adoptive parents never told him the truth he only knew that he is different from their biological child.  He is now on a mission to know his brothers.

I loved this book from the first page.  I didn’t expect another brother after Clay, Mason, and Levi then Jackson Stone comes walking into Clay’s bar.  He knows that his brothers aren’t going to trust him and with good reason.  They haven’t had an easy life and tend to be overly skeptical sometimes.  What Jackson notices immediately, is they circle the wagons, so to speak and they always have one another’s backs.  Jackson wants to be a part of this group.

Tara recognized some Kincaid traits in Jackson and soon becomes the one person he is sure he can trust.  Tara has her demons to wrestle, and maybe that is why it is easier for her to see through the walls and into Jackson’s soul.  She is drawn to him immediately and, while she isn’t sure she is worthy of love she is hopeful that she can help the brothers see the true Jackson.

This couple ropes me in from their first meet.  The chemistry is hot and jumping off the page.  Tara is charming, welcoming, and full of lust.  Jackson is an understanding and protective man and also lusting after Tara.

The story is fast paced and entertaining.  I enjoy how these two (Jackson and Tara) complement each other.  Jackson wants to belong somewhere as does Tara.  I love that Jackson is a dirty talker.  It is so sexy to go with their steamy love scenes.  Jackson hits all my buttons. Even though Jackson is highly educated and comfortable with high society he fits right in with the Kincaid brothers’ blue collar life.

I only have one small criticism is that I want to see the brothers work through getting to know each other more.  The ending came on a little too quickly and felt a little incomplete.  That said, I hate letting these characters go—not just Jackson and Tara but the entire Kincaid clan.  Check out Dirty Sexy Saint and the whole Dirty Sexy series; you won’t regret it.  Now I’m looking forward to Carly and Erika’s next collaboration.  Great job!
