This like most of the books I have read by Lila Monroe is a great light book, funny and very entertaining.
Lizzie who is tired of dating the same men on the online dating sites, has what we would normally call an everyday rant to her sister, basically complaining about all the fails she has had with men so far, well you know the type of rant I mean, we all do it. It is funny that not long after she does this she cannot find any man to date her.
What Lizzie does not count on though is Jake, when he comes along things begin to change.
Jake, ah Jake, he doesn’t do relationships you know! Well so he keeps professing. However, as he is here on business and helping Lizzie to find things for her exhibit he starts to get very fond of Lizzie. The laugh is for a man who doesn’t do relationships he is very protective and actually feels quite violent to the men who think they can break the habit of Lizzie’s disastrous dates. Hmmmm me thinks Jake protests too much about the “I don’t do relationships” don’t you?
A lovely story and so fun to read. These types of books especially by Lila Monroe I love to read, she has you laughing, thinking, shouting, and just going Ahhhhhh a lot of the time.
This whole story was adorable. Both characters were just so much fun to read. Their hijinks and their battle of wits made me laugh out loud more than once. I also found this to be really sweet and emotional at times. This was my second book by Lila Monroe and I can safely say she's a sure bet.
